Fate & Company Solutions' call centre becomes the site of a stray god, known as Babble. Whisper has called it forth, as a former employee. Carpenter finds a team leaderboard which marks other former employees of the company: the top salesperson of the month, Jane Sinclair, and the silver star salesperson, Patrick Waites.[1]
Carpenter and Paige spend the night here, as Faulkner's state worsens. They are tormented by Whisper and Babble, but eventually manage to kill Whisper.[1]
